Date: Saturday 6th February 2010, 3:00pm Result: Hednesford Town 2-2 Halesowen Town, Att: 504 Competition: Zamaretto League Premier Division Referee: M. Howes (Solihull)
Hard-working Halesowen were cruelly denied all three points by Hednesford’s deflected equaliser with just fifteen seconds of normal play remaining. The result means Halesowen have become labelled as the Zamaretto Premier’s draw specialists following four consecutive draws in 2010 and a total of nine draws in the last thirteen league outings since last meeting Hednesford. New signing Jimmy Turner made his debut in the centre of the Yeltz defence as Halesowen once again shared points after being in front in a repeat of the final score from the earlier encounter with Hednesford at the Grove. |

Halesowen Town FC have tonight confirmed the signing of defender Jimmy Turner who goes straight into tomorrow's squad for the match against Hednesford. The Yeltz have been looking short at the back recently especially since the departure of Jamie Smith to UK Airbus last week, Matty Clarke has been quick to bring in a fresh face to the squad for this weekend.
Jimmy has had spells at AFC Telford United last season and Eastwood Town this season, so has plenty of experience playing in the Conference North the last two seasons. Jimmy has moved in order to gain a first team place after being limited to substitute appearances the last few games at Eastwood.

Halesowen’s third draw of the week extended their unbeaten league run to fifteen games in an even contest at the Eyrie. Bedford had slipped into the bottom four in the past week and Halesowen ran out comfortable 4-1 winners in the reverse fixture back in September but the Yeltz suffered a blow just before the kick-off when centre-back Jamie Hood was taken ill. |
